Don't forget to wear your best 50's outfit. Monday we are at it again.this time it is time to Rock and Roll on the 50th day of school! Break out the poodle skirts and roll up your jeans as we travel to several classrooms to have fun with the numbers to fifty. I know many kiddos who would love this book for Christmas! It really was so much fun to read! Thanks again to all who helped by volunteering or donating items! This is the cover of the book we read. Check out our Shutterfly site for some great pictures of our class. Thanks so much to all the volunteers that helped make Oz day wonderful! All day the class kept saying it was the "best day ever!!!" It was so much fun to walk the yellow brick road, make a rainbow, learn about tornadoes, and eat some yummy snacks. Really, I am looking forward to seeing you all! Follow these easy steps and we will have a fantastic conference.
We will talk as quickly as we can so we can be done in twenty minutes! Here's what I need from you: be on time, come on the right day and bring your sweet child with you. Your child is excited to share their portfolios with you. I can't wait to share your child's progress. I, on the other hand, will be anxiously waiting your arrival with your child. We will work on retelling strategies, asking and answering questions from the text.Ĭheck out some of our math NINJAS from last week! These four really showed an understanding of fact families! We will also enjoy some holiday favorites this week. Reading: finishing up nonfictional text features. Writing: beginning informational writing pieces. Phonics: continued blends study with short vowel words. Math: greater than and less than, ten more and ten less, place value with higher numbers I am so proud of our students and their hard work. Thanks so much to everyone who came out for conferences.
